Redesigned Square Pay to scale as a digital wallet across the Square ecosystem,
increasing buyer trust and repeat usage.
Square Pay was underutilized compared to Apple Pay, with inconsistent branding and limited reach across checkout surfaces. I partnered with product, research, and engineering to reimagine and built it as a unified wallet experience—clarifying where buyer information lives, improving trust signals, and optimizing express pay entry points for speed and clarity.
The redesign increased conversion among returning users, reduced checkout time to 43 seconds, and grew Square Pay’s share of GPV by 5%.
